Don’t put me on your mailing list!

Answer me this… why is it when someone opts-in for a report, ezine, eBook, teleseminar or whatever it is that is offered from a website, blog or landing page there are some subscribers that think it is okay to begin sending their information to the person they requested the information from?

It is likely that many of us who provide lots of opportunities for people to opt in for something get unwanted and “not asked for” information sent to us or worse yet, someone subscribes us to their list without our permission.

You know what? It is not okay to do this. It is spam and you are likely losing more readers than you will get. And you might even be breaking a law or two.

Do not think that just because you subscribe to someone's information they will be interested in yours? Not necessarily so.

Why not set your systems up to attract readers who are genuinely interested in what you have to offer?

To succeed in any type of business it is essential to be very clear on who does and does not want your products and services.

So the next time you think it is okay to put someone on your mailing list without their permission, don't. It's not okay.

Are you in overwhelm? Try this!

Daily I hear from people who say they can't seem to catch up to all they need to do. They want to move forward on various projects, but feel completely bogged down by what's in front of them and those things that seem to take up a lot of space in their mind.

I know the feeling. I've been there, done that.

There are subtle little things we do that can do more to zap our energy than just about anything. They are the things we look at on a daily basis where we mumble, “One of these days I am going to get around to fixing that, cleaning that, throwing that out.”

The reality is, unless you put time aside to clear out these “energy zappers” they will keep you in a space of overwhelm and those feelings of not be able to catch up.

In the last few days I have coached several new clients who were misled into believing the BS of getting rich quick on the Internet. I have heard a similar story from several people so I definitely lean toward believing that there are some so called “experts” telling people when they buy program X, Y or Z; go through a quick study class; put up a website they can sit back and watch the money  pour in. They are being told they won’t have to do much of anything to make a ton of money.

I can’t begin to tell you how frustrating this is for me. I’m appalled at unscrupulous people feeding others a line of crap that you don’t have to do anything but buy their information, put up a website and presto!, you make a fortune.
