Don’t put me on your mailing list!

Answer me this… why is it when someone opts-in for a report, ezine, eBook, teleseminar or whatever it is that is offered from a website, blog or landing page there are some subscribers that think it is okay to begin sending their information to the person they requested the information from?

It is likely that many of us who provide lots of opportunities for people to opt in for something get unwanted and “not asked for” information sent to us or worse yet, someone subscribes us to their list without our permission.

You know what? It is not okay to do this. It is spam and you are likely losing more readers than you will get. And you might even be breaking a law or two.

Do not think that just because you subscribe to someone's information they will be interested in yours? Not necessarily so.

Why not set your systems up to attract readers who are genuinely interested in what you have to offer?

To succeed in any type of business it is essential to be very clear on who does and does not want your products and services.

So the next time you think it is okay to put someone on your mailing list without their permission, don't. It's not okay.

Marketing….what is it? And how can you optimize it?

Marketing is about occupying space in the consumer’s mind…

Customers choose to do business with you based on their needs… not yours!

They will choose you when you understand their problem and have a solution they want and/or need.

To Optimize Your Opportunities

Ø  Know why people do business with you

Ø  Be proactive rather than reactive

Ø  Know your target market and what changes are impacting your market

Ø  Establish your expert status

Ø  Stand apart from the crowd and “noise”

Ø  Give people a reason to refer you

I work with many speakers, authors, trainers and consultants who want to gain visibility on the Internet and within their market.  Without a doubt, they all realize they need to market themselves, but many just don’t know where to begin.

Marketing serves several purposes including market reach, visibility, credibility and perception of expert status.

A great way to market
There are countless ways to achieve these outcomes. One of the best ways to do so is by writing and submitting articles to various online directories and Ezines.

When done correctly article writing and distribution can be an incredible tool for marketing a site, business, product, service or person.

Sell more books with teleseminars

Do you dream of having a book published, but don't know where to turn? Already have a book, but unsure of how to promote it? Looking for cost effective high-return strategies to market your book? If you answered yes to any of these questions, then the following information is for you.

Misguided beliefs
Many writers and aspiring authors are under the mistaken belief if their book is published by a publishing house they can sit back and watch sales miraculously happen. Nothing could be further from the truth. The fact is, competition to have your manuscript noticed and published by one of the remaining large publishing houses is extremely fierce. Additionally, no matter who publishes your book, you absolutely must take an active roll in marketing, promoting and selling your book.

8 Steps to a Profitable Teleconference

Teleseminars are likely one of the most effective methods for promoting a product or service, building an opt-in subscriber list, increas credibility amd establish your expert status.

However, to achieve optimum results you must have your systems in place. It takes more than simply hosting a call to make this work.

Countless individuals have attempted teleseminars as a route to business success, yet failed miserably when they have attempted to make money from teleconferences. Often it is because they have not been trained in how to position the call, create enough of a market demand for what they are selling, there is no call to action, nor do they have a solid follow-up plan.

With the right vision, planning and action steps, you can do extremely well with teleconferences. Here are a few of the steps involved in successful teleseminars.

Recently, I was introduced to Stacie Vander Pol’s book, Top Self Publishing Firms. I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of information Ms. Vander Pol provided.

Are you in overwhelm? Try this!

Daily I hear from people who say they can't seem to catch up to all they need to do. They want to move forward on various projects, but feel completely bogged down by what's in front of them and those things that seem to take up a lot of space in their mind.

I know the feeling. I've been there, done that.

There are subtle little things we do that can do more to zap our energy than just about anything. They are the things we look at on a daily basis where we mumble, “One of these days I am going to get around to fixing that, cleaning that, throwing that out.”

The reality is, unless you put time aside to clear out these “energy zappers” they will keep you in a space of overwhelm and those feelings of not be able to catch up.

Teleseminars – Making money with them

In the last few days I have coached several new clients who were misled into believing the BS of getting rich quick on the Internet. I have heard a similar story from several people so I definitely lean toward believing that there are some so called “experts” telling people when they buy program X, Y or Z; go through a quick study class; put up a website they can sit back and watch the money  pour in. They are being told they won’t have to do much of anything to make a ton of money.

I can’t begin to tell you how frustrating this is for me. I’m appalled at unscrupulous people feeding others a line of crap that you don’t have to do anything but buy their information, put up a website and presto!, you make a fortune.

This just isn’t true. It’s a LIE!

Can you make money on the Internet? YES! How do I know? One, because I make a great living from the Internet and have been for several years.
